This project included road widening and bridge replacement from State Road 8 to County Road 44. The project involved the replacement of existing bridge #60 with a new 3-span continuous concrete slab bridge over the Soloman Shank Drain. The project also included pavement widening and rehabilitation of CR 59/61 to provide two 12-feet wide through lanes in each direction with 4-foot paved/2-foot aggregate shoulders. The existing asphalt pavement was overlaid with a new 10-inch thick Portland cement concrete and widened with 11-inch thick Portland cement concrete over a compacted aggregate base. Roadway drainage was conveyed through side ditches and enclosed storm sewers.
