County Road 61 was completely rehabilitated from County Road 44 to U.S. 6 in DeKalb County, Indiana. This is a dual-phase project consisting primarily of pavement rehabilitation. The first phase, from County Road 44 to County Road 40, involves overlaying the existing asphalt pavement with Portland cement concrete pavement. The second phase from County Road 40 to U.S. 6 involves a 4-inch asphaltic pavement overlay. A&Z also was responsible for inspection services including all testing activities, facilitating coordination of the traffic detours, and phasing along this heavy traffic industrial corridor was the key to ensure efficient progress with minimal delays. Constant coordination and communication between all businesses were key factors to project success.
