The project involves complete roadway reconstruction of a 3.2 mile corridor in a rapid growth area in northern Allen County. The design elements include pavement widening and reconstruction, realignment of the east approach of Flutter Road with St. Joe/Maplecrest Road intersection, side ditch and storm sewer drainage, curb and gutter, sidewalks, erosion control, traffic maintenance phasing, traffic signal modifications, traffic signs and pavement markings. The project also includes a new three-span concrete bridge structure and replacement of a concrete box structure. A&Z teamed with Engineering Resources, a local consultant to complete the design of the two bridges. Right-of-way Engineering services and specially the completion of more than 85 parcels were key elements to complete this project within the anticipated timeframe and be ready for the construction phase.
