A&Z completed the design and construction phase for the City of New Haven Phase I & II Downtown Streetscape Project. The 5 blocks improvements consisted of new curb and gutter, sidewalks, new curb facewalk, decorative street lighting, trees, planters, benches, landscaping, traffic signal modification (decorative posts & signal heads), storm sewers, and pavement reconstruction. Context Sensitive Solution design was implemented for the project, listening and working with business owner’s cooperation and input were a vital part in achieving the goal to attract the community back to the downtown area.
