Buckner Park Trail
Designing Scenic and Safe Passages
A&Z provided surveying and design services for a new trail in Buckner Park starting at the park entrance on Bass Road and extending approximately 3,000 feet north to a pavilion.
A&Z designed two land bridges at Lunz Ditch and the Ephemeral Drain to provide the pedestrians and bicyclists safe crossing, while enhancing visual appeal and reducing erosion on nearby slopes. These bridges are designed to accommodate heavy Parks & Recreation Department vehicles along with emergency response vehicles. Two pedestrian bridges over wetlands with a total span of 120-feet were also components of this trail design.
