Maplecrest Road Reconstruction
A Complete Streets Project
The Maplecrest Rd. project was a multi-phase corridor overhaul from Lake Avenue to Stellhorn Rd. incorporating “Complete Streets” design considerations. Traffic calming measures like roadway widening, travel and turn lane additions, and landscaped medians promote safety. Pedestrian facilities, street lighting, park strips and intersection upgrades meet the needs for community connectivity and pedestrian safety. Green infrastructure along with storm sewer construction were used to meet stormwater management needs.
In addition to the roadway and pedestrian improvements, watermain relocations/adjustments and box culvert design/construction were also major facets of this project.
